HITEC offers qualified journalists and press professionals complimentary, full conference registrations. To qualify, an applicant must currently cover the hospitality and travel industry on a regular basis in an editorial capacity. Individuals representing conventional media outlets will be considered for qualification (i.e. local and regional newspaper or news station).
A HITEC press credential for qualified journalists and press professionals includes full access to all
HITEC-produced event programming. HITEC features four days of concurrent education, two Headliner sessions, exhibitor-led Technology Showcase sessions, Entrepreneur 20X startup pitch competition, three days of exhibits, exhibitor tutorials and Welcome Reception. In addition, HITEC maintains a schedule of exhibitor-organized press conferences for the convenience of attending press.
Individuals who receive a complimentary press registration will be added to a list of registered press. This list is solely distributed to HITEC exhibitors for the current year. The information provided includes the press contact’s name, title, publication and work e-mail.
Company-sponsored blogs and business-supporting outlets.
The applicant must demonstrate frequent and recent publication and/or broadcast (at minimum of 3 times within the past 12 months). If you are not a frequent contributor but have been assigned by an industry publication/broadcaster to cover HITEC, a letter of assignment from a senior editor or similar title must be submitted.
Individuals who do not have direct editorial responsibility. In addition, those who write in a promotional capacity, including bloggers for company pages, consultants who write to promote their business and PR professionals.
HITEC qualifies analysts from recognized industry firms to receive press credentials. To receive approval, the applicant must provide a bylined, published report related to the hospitality/travel industry that was published within the past six months. Analysts and consultants who develop a client-only publication for their own firm or another firm do not qualify for a press registration.
HITEC invites established hospitality and travel industry podcast and video broadcasters to present and record directly from the event. HITEC can offer support and promotion in several ways to help lead to a successful experience (TBD based on needs).
